General information

Scope

The 6th International Symposium on Electromagnetic Compatibility offers to researchers from academia, industry and government the possibility to present the progress in their research and to discuss all aspects of EMC in a challenging academic environment. The symposium succeeds previous editions held in Rome, Bruges and Sorrento. The International Steering Committee assigned the 2004 edition to Eindhoven, the Netherlands. The next symposium will take place in Barcelona, Spain in 2006 (www.emceurope2006.org)

Venue

The Symposium will be held in the Auditorium of the Technische Universiteit Eindhoven. The cheerful self-portrait of Jan Steen, a master painter of the Dutch Golden Age, invites you to join in and contribute to an inspiring and communicative symposium.

Location

Eindhoven (modern art museum Van Abbe) is an industrious and pleasant city in the province of Noord-Brabant, surrounded by many villages such as Nuenen where the famous painter Van Gogh lived and worked. All major Dutch cities such as Amsterdam (Rijksmuseum, Rembrandt and its canals), Rotterdam (world's largest harbor), The Hague (Government Residence) and Utrecht (bishopric city since mediaeval times) are at about 1 hour train trip distance with several direct trains per hour. Eindhoven Airport has inland and direct flight connections to many cities in Europe. The city can easily be reached by train and by car. More information can be found on the websites of Regio Eindhoven Congres Bureau (http://www.recb.nl) and Eindhoven Tourist Information Office (http://www.vvveindhoven.nl) or downloaded as pdf file (0.5MB).
